EDUCATION + HOPE = SELF LOVE

ANY OF THESE EXPERIENCES CAN CHANGE A LIFE, FOREVER.

Often times, individuals living with these kinds of circumstances grapple, daily, with the emotional, psychological and spiritual impact of their experiences.

Many are left feeling afraid, alone, unwanted and without answers. Stigma has made it hard to openly discuss and work through these issues.

HOPE FOR US specializes on instilling hope and self-love in those living through difficult experiences. These circumstances do not define you. You are full of value, love and deserve a meaningful life filled with positivity.

We help instill the power of hope and love back into your life.

We help you answer the question

"Who is going to want me now?"

Our personal experience and in-depth knowledge helps others find health, healing, hope, self-worth and the ultimate freedom to live a positive, meaningful life!

We found something that works, and it can work for you too.

HOPE FOR US was founded by Paris Mullen

Paris has worked in the field of HIV since 2008.

He battled a difficult time, though he knew he wasn't going to die he was not sure how he was going to live. He wrestled with the question, "who will want me?" Paris was able to find the answer to this and other perplexing questions through education, close friends, communities living with HV, and his faith.

Paris Mullen is an Executive Specialty Representative for Merck Pharmaceuticals. In this role he manages 6 mid-western states providing capacity building support for case managers and other allied health professionals. These individuals serve communities living with HIV and/or Hepatitis C. Paris has been an HIV advocate for many years. Vocationally, he began his career in HIV with Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.  There, he managed several national projects that increased the engagement and participation of marginalized gay, bi-sexual and transgender populations who are disproportionately affected by the US HIV epidemic into clinical trial research.

These projects were collaborative efforts with organizations such as the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, health departments, the National Institutes of Health, community based organizations and clinical research sites.

As a former Health Educator and Consultant for Seattle Public Schools, Paris facilitated workshops that addressed HIV science, stigma, transmission, prevention and therapy.  He also shared his story of living with HIV.  As a former family therapist and director of a youth organization, he has worked on the front lines with youth and families coping with mental illness and substance use abuse.

Most recently, Paris was a program manager for the Seattle-based Gay City Health Project. There, he managed the statewide "EndAIDSWashington" campaign. The mission of this campaign was to raise awareness and mobilize communities to: 1) Get Tested 2) Get Treatment 3) Get PrEP and 4) Get Healthcare.

Paris graduated with a B.A. in Communication from Pacific Lutheran University.

Master of Communication in Health Sciences from Northwestern University (Graduate Summer 2017-in progress)
